FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) is the voluntary submission of crime statistics by Law Enforcement agencies of California and nationwide to Department of Justices for the purpose of depicting the crime problems in America.
Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) is a city, county and state law enforcement program. This program provides a nationwide view of crime based on the submission of statistics by law enforcement throughout the country.
Crime data is collected on a monthly basis. UCR Programs collect data on known offenses and persons arrested. The required offenses to be reported are the nine Part I crimes.
Also reported monthly are Part II crimes which are offenses that encompass all other reportable crime classifications outside those defined as Part I crimes. All of these crimes are reported by a hierarchy rule.
The reports located via the above pulldown menu are the statistics for Part I crimes sent to Department of Justice for the years 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005.
